In related news, there really is a Star Wars headline worthy of celebration. Today it was revealed that the entire series will be released on Blu-ray in September. Hurrah.
Personally, I celebrated Star Wars Day a couple days early when I attended a screening of The People vs. George Lucas on Monday. The documentary chronicles several obsessed fans' love for the Force ... and subsequent anger with Lucas for creating the prequels.

The doc covers everything from fan films to "Who shot first?" to Jar Jar Binks. Ultimately, Lucas isn't painted in a particularly pretty light for botching Episodes I-III and retooling IV-VI.
But you know what I wanted to do immediately after seeing the film? That's right -- I wanted to go home and watch Star Wars.
The People vs. George Lucas opens May 6 in New York with screenings scheduled throughout the summer.
