'Idol' wrap: Now, then and Sheryl Crow
Recommend
According to Randy Jackson, three of the remaining five American Idol singers -- James Durbin, Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina -- are "in it to win it." Wednesday, the Idols picked songs both new and old, getting direction from Sheryl Crow. Haley Reinhart may have taken the biggest risk, singing unreleased Lady Gaga tune You and I and House of the Rising Sun. After a breathless rendition of Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown's No Air, Jacob Lusk redeemed himself with a tour de force vocal on the Nazareth hit Love Hurts. But will it be enough to keep him in the competition?
"For the first time, I'm glad it's up to America and not me," Jennifer Lopez said at the end of the show. "We had some super-strong performances."
Get the results Thursday (8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific, Fox).
